Kettering Energy Park

The planning application for the Warehouse & Industrial Estate at Burton Wold (where the wind farm is) has been submitted to North Northamptonshire Council (NK/2025/0167). The deadline for comments is 14 May 2025.

The developers have made NO significant changes in their planning application to build an industrial and warehouse estate in the middle of the countryside. They have largely ignored all concerns expressed by the community and community representatives. This means that all the objections put forward previously still stand. Unfortunately you do have to submit your objections all over again, though this time to NNC who, unlike the developers, cannot just ignore your concerns. So send your objections to planning.kbc@northnorthants.gov.uk. In your email, you must include the reference NK/2025/0167 in the subject line. There is an online form you can use off the NNC planning application website page.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH – if you wish to find out more or participate in this scheme please contact the Clerk for further information.

STREET LIGHTING – please report any faults with the lighting to the Clerk.

GRIT BINS – please note that the grit bin situated on Back Lane near to Pantiles is the responsibility of LAPC and not NNC.  The contents of the bins are provided for use on the public highway and footpaths and not for use on residents’ properties.

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE TALKING – Did you know that Northamptonshire Police has a free message alert system to help people living and working in Northamptonshire to be better informed about crime and police activity in their local area, and help us to keep their communities safe?

This service is called NORTHAMPTONSHIRE TALKING and it enables frontline police officers and PCSOs to send alert messages direct from their mobile devices to thousands of local people.  They can do this in real-time while they are out and about policing the county.

The alert service is free and simple to activate by registering at http://www.northamptonshiretalking.co.uk and is available to anyone living or working in Northamptonshire.
